Overcoming Anxiety
Ever feel like your mind is racing 100 miles per hour, your constantly feel like you’re on edge, and that you can never get rid of that pit in your stomach? Those are just a few symptoms of anxiety.
Here is my quick version of what anxiety is: It is your brain trying to do its job by planning out the worst-case scenarios with all the existing strategies to keep you safe.
Thank you, brain, for keeping you safe, but this is not working anymore, and you need a new plan. That’s where I come in.
I work with you to identify these thoughts and feelings, cultivate a space to let them happen but not overtake you, and then work with you on creating tools to help you come back to the here and now. We work on identifying where this came from and figure out a new way of planning our future without feeling out of control.
